1. About the App

ShadeCoach ("the app", "we", "us") provides AI-powered makeup simulations and color recommendations based on user-uploaded photos. The app is operated by CareKeypr in Sweden.

2. Data We Collect

• Photos you voluntarily choose to analyze (may include your face).
• Language and interface preferences.
• Support messages or feedback you send to us.
• Technical data (device type, OS, app version, crash/performance logs).
• Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (no advertising identifiers).

3. How We Use the Data

• To generate your requested makeup look using AI.
• To personalize language and display options.
• To improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
• To respond to support inquiries.

4. Image Processing and AI Services

When you use the “Apply Look” feature, your photo is uploaded directly from your device to our AI partner Fal.ai (based in the United States) to generate a visual makeup simulation.

• We (ShadeCoach/CareKeypr) do not have access to or store your photos.
• Fal.ai temporarily processes the image to create the result and automatically deletes it in accordance with their own privacy policy.
• No biometric or identity data is extracted or stored by us.
• All communication with Fal.ai is encrypted via HTTPS.

By using this feature, you consent to Fal.ai processing your image solely for the purpose of generating your requested look. For details on their data handling, please refer to Fal.ai’s Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services

• Fal.ai – image processing and AI rendering (USA).
• Expo – mobile app platform and analytics.
• Amazon Associates – product linking for affiliate recommendations.

We do not sell or trade your personal data. Data is only shared when necessary to deliver app functionality or comply with applicable law.

6. Permissions

• Camera / Photos – only used when you choose to take or upload a photo for analysis.
• Network – required to send your selected image to Fal.ai and fetch results.

7. Data Retention

• Photos: Processed by Fal.ai only; not stored by ShadeCoach. Fal.ai deletes them automatically after processing (typically within 7 days).
• Preferences: Stored locally on your device.
• Logs and crash data: Temporary and anonymized.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. Please avoid uploading sensitive or personal images beyond what is necessary for the AI makeup feature.

9. Children

The app is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or withdraw consent for your data. Since ShadeCoach does not retain your photo data, such requests apply only to data we control (e.g., support emails).
